Speaker warns
THE Speaker of Parliament, Edward Sekandi, has warned Ugandans against voting any person into power before studying them critically. Sekandi was addressing residents of Kasozi Parish at a fundraising drive for the church roof last week.

Prelate assures
THE Archbishop of Kampala, Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala, has hailed the work of the Capuchin Friars in the country. He was preaching to pilgrims at the shrine of St. Padre Pio at Kabulamuliro recently.

RDC urged
THE district council has asked the RDC, Margaret Kasaija, to order the arrest the Chief Administrative Officer, Nathan Kayongo, and the Chief Finance Officer, Justine Alupot, for causing the district a sh800m financial loss. The resolution follows a report into the district’s finances presented on Thursday.

Media warned
THE Family Planning Association of Uganda (FPAU) has warned the media and preachers against creating stigma and discrimination among people living with HIV/AIDS. An FPAU trainer on HIV/AIDS, Hannington Mulindwa, was addressing an HIV/AIDS media workshop organised by FPAU at Bativa Hotel in Kampala last week.
