Life must go on despite loss

Migadde

IN Star Track this week, Faustin Mugabe takes the fans’ questions to Brian Migadde, of Impact FM.

Q: Who is your spiritual mentor?
Gertrude, 27, Katwe

A:
Pastor Robert Kayanja was the first clergyman to preach the gospel of Jesus to me. It was in 1985 at the Kampala City Square. That was the year I got saved and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal saviour. However, I was groomed by Pastor Robert Kasaija, whom I revere as my spiritual mentor.

Q: Why doesn’t talking about your late wife and son evoke sad memories?
Judith Nayigaaga, 32, Seeta

A:
I lost the best: my wife Faith and son Isaac Tendo, but life goes on. Talking about my late wife and son only brings everlasting memories, especially when I remember that she was ex-communicated by her Muslim family for accepting Jesus Christ as her saviour. Despite that, because of her true love, she chose to come to me. My family was gravely hit by AIDS. My wife, Faith, contracted AIDS, due to negligence and a medical error at the hospital while giving birth. I stood by her till the last breath as I had vowed in church. Because of Isaac Tendo, I was encouraged to start Tendo Love and Care Ministries. The ministry cares for HIV-positive children.

Q: Do you hope to re-marry?
Harriet Mukasa, 32, Nsangi

A:
Life must continue despite the world’s hardships and challenges. I took a lot of time and effort to find my late wife, and I have taken enough time to find a life partner, and I think it is long overdue. I plan to walk down the aisle in two years’ time.

Q: Do you also get temptations?
Lucia Yiga, 28, Nsangi

A:
I wouldn’t like to call it temptation. But like any other person, I like to have good things. It’s my right to get good things if I can. For instance, I like fast cars. I would like to have them because motor rallying is my hobby.
