AFC Leopards ended KCB’s unbeaten start to the Kenya Premier League season with a 2–1 win on Sunday afternoon.

The Panthers entered the match after two consecutive defeats, but stunned the bankers with a good performance as Elvis Robbia scored a double, while Samuel Mwangi offered condolences to the visitors.

Coach Anthony Kimani made a series of changes to the main team, with Collins Shivaci making his debut, while Clyde Sinagi, Benvenu Schaka and Austin Ouching had startups.

It was the visitors who started the game well and came close to scoring the first goal when they got a free kick in the first minute but the effort veered away from a corner kick.

The Panthers were then forced into an early substitution in the 10th minute when Kipigon Isaac was injured and replaced by Lewis Pandey.

KCB took the lead in the 25th minute against the course of play when Mwangi napped the Leopards’ defense nap, but Robbia responded after five minutes and the match entered the first half and tied it 1-1.

The owners of the land came in the second half with real intention, and their persistence paid off when Robia scored his goal, the second for the Leopards of the day before the hour mark.

It proved the importance of everything as they continued to win, placing them in fifth place on the table with 12 points, six points behind KCB, who despite the loss, is 18 points ahead.

In another match, Vincent Oboro scored the winning goal in the 94th minute as Wazito FC scored three successive victories with a 2–1 victory over Bidco United.

Erik Guichemo gave the hosts the lead in the 33rd minute, but Denis Sekhai responded to Loisetto early in the second half.

With the match apparently close to a draw, substitute Oboro appeared to score the winning goal in the 94th minute to ensure they continued their good career.

The victory means Francis Kimansi’s team is fourth at the table with 12 points.
