84% of Spaniards consider that complementary and traditional medicine can be used together, according to a study presented by the National Association of Homeopathy (ANH) and prepared by Harris Interactive.
It is one of the main conclusions of an analysis carried out on a representative sample of 1059 people which provides data on the perception and use of homeopathy by spanish.
He notes that 47% of Spaniards have used homeopathy throughout their lives; This is a figure that has increased compared to the latest available data for 2011 (33%). According to the study, the trend continues to grow in the future, with 52% responding that they would consider using homeopathic remedies in the future.
The survey also highlights some of the distinctive elements of homeopathy, such as that it is considered a natural remedy and has few side effects, as mentioned by 52% of Spaniards who also value the use of homeopathy in the future.
Another fact is that 84% of people who used homeopathy reported being satisfied with the treatment. In fact, 85% of those surveyed believe that homeopathy should be recommended by their health professionals with the same or more frequency than currently. Regarding which health professionals they turn to for advice, 51% see a homeopath and 38% see a regular pharmacist.
