The American Chamber (AmCham) Mexico welcomed Raquel Buenrostro as the new head of the Department of Economy (SE) and recognized her work at the head of the Tax Administration Service (SAT).
“The role of the Ministry of Economy is essential to ensure the economic well-being of Mexicans, enhance competitiveness and encourage productive investment, in the face of the unique moment of opportunity that Mexico is experiencing, with T-MEC and the integration of supply chains. Regional supply,” the US organization noted.

Likewise, he thanked Tatiana Clothier’s work at the head of the Special Envoy after his resignation last week and highlighted that the former official participated in the Mexico-US-Canada Treaty implementation talks (T-MEC) and post-pandemic recovery, “with a conciliatory attitude and open to incorporating the experiences of the business community.”
The American Chamber of Commerce (AMCham) noted that two years after its entry into force, T-MEC gives confidence to North American trade and integration, and in this sense, said it was confident that Buenrostro’s management would be one of continuity, certainty and openness to dialogue.
