Abba Tanu sings for the children of Uganda

Next Saturday, December 3, the “Ledo del Pozo” CEO Council will organize a charity concert for the African gospel group Aba Taano at the “Reina Sofía” theater in Benavente (Zamora) at 8:00 pm.

The Aba Taano group has been performing on large stages for years and has won 11 international awards. It was born, like other bands, from a small NGO “Music to Save Lives”. This Ugandan NGO was set up in 2005 with the aim of saving children who have experienced total abandonment. Currently, more than 60 people live directly from the assistance they receive. Most of them are minors.

Many of the first boys are already working and helping their families as well. There are nurses, lab technicians, DJs, mechanics, seamstresses, journalists, hoteliers, chefs, computer scientists… who live independently. Artists are the bedrock of the entire human enterprise.

Entrance to the concert will cost 4 euros and can be collected at the Casa de la Cultura “La Encomienda” in Benavente, from Monday, November 21, from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm and from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. : 30 p.m., from Monday to Friday, and also on the day of the show from 6:00 p.m. at the theater box office.
