NASA agreed Great contribution To the EUVST mission in Japan.
Led by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, the mission includes a solar telescope that studies the way the sun’s atmosphere is separated from the solar wind. This is a constant frost of particles streaming through the solar system creating a “space weather” that ignites the polar lights on Earth and disrupts the technology. Along with other solar missions, such as the European Void The agency’s orbital solar spacecraft and NASA’s Parker Solar Probe will help provide a comprehensive investigation of space weather.
EUVST will study the Sun in fine detail at its ultraviolet wavelengths. Also known as Solar-C, it is scheduled to be launched in mid-2020. Previous Japanese solar mission, Hinode or Solar-BIt was launched in 2006.
NASA has also announced funding for the Electrojet Zeeman Imaging Explorer (EZIE) mission. Led by the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland, EZIE will study electrical currents in the Earth’s atmosphere to understand more about how twilight It is created by the interaction of the solar wind with the Earth’s magnetic field. Consisting of three small ‘CubeSats’, EZIE will be launched sometime after June 2024.
