10 Latin American and AMLO leaders will attend the summit. Outline of the economic plan to combat inflation

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced that he will participate in a virtual meeting with 10 Latin American leaders to outline an economic and trade plan to control the high inflation recorded in the region due to geopolitical conflicts.

At a press conference from the National Palace, the head of the Federal Executive explained that among the participants was Gabriel Boric, President of Chile; Luis Inacio Lula da Silva from Brazil. Luis Arce from Bolivia, Xiomara Castro from Honduras, Gustavo Petro from Colombia; Albero Fernandez, from Argentina, among other actors.

Said summit will actually take place on April 5th at 10:00 AM, Central Mexico, where Miguel Diaz-Canel, President of Cuba, will be present.

It is a virtual meeting for economic and commercial exchange, import and export of foodstuffs and other commodities to counter the phenomenon of inflation.

“In other words, why do all countries produce and be able to exchange goods and food, abolish tariffs, remove import and export barriers with the aim of obtaining sufficient supplies and that this helps in facing the problem of shortage,” López Obrador explained.
