Everything is ready in Istanbul to enjoy the 3×3 FISU Basketball World Cup

One of the novelties of the event is the change of its location: from 2015 to 2019 it was held in the Chinese city of Xiamen, and later – 2020 and 2021 – it was suspended due to the epidemic.

In 3×3 basketball, teams consist of three players and one possible substitute. The match can be played on different types of surfaces: concrete, asphalt or track (current or temporary). It is an outdoor event, full of music, entertainment and an enthusiastic audience. The game takes a maximum of 10 minutes without halves or quarters.

She was the champion of the 2019 edition of Tsinghua University (CHN) in the women’s 3×3 tournament, and Paulista University (BRA) in the men’s tournament. The Chinese League will not participate this year, but the Brazilian team, which won the qualifying tournament for the American continent and is one of the main candidates in Istanbul, will do so.
