A university board met her and asked for clarifications on some of the stories she had published two months before she began her tenure as a professor.

A leading private university in the eastern Indian city of Kolkata (formerly known as Calcutta) has been embroiled in a hateful controversy in recent months.

A former assistant professor at Saint Xavier University told the BBC she was forced to quit her job for posting pictures of her in a bikini on Instagram, an allegation denied by the academic centre.
