Paramount Pictures has released the first teaser for the highly anticipated new installment of the saga.Entitled “The Awakening of the Monsters” (or “The Rise of the Monsters” in the original language), the film was shot on location in Peru, the United States, and Canada and will be released on June 8, 2023.

Directed by Stephen Capley Jr. and starring Anthony Ramos and Dominic Fishback, the film serves as a prequel to the film’s previous saga, set in the 1990s, when the eternal conflict between the Autobots and the Decepticons raged. Maximals and Terocons.

The trailer shows important scenes from the film such as the first encounter between Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) and Optimus Primal (Ron Perlman), leader of the Maximals, as well as character Noah (Anthony Ramos) having his apparent first experience with a Transformer when encountering the Mirage during a police chase.

“Of all the threats, whether from your past or your future, none compare to the one you’ll face,” Primal tells the leader of the Autobots, an apparent reference to the Terrocons, the film’s villains.

For director Stephen Capley Jr., the film will allow us to delve into Optimus Prime’s past and the circumstances that led him to become the leader we know. “I want to find out more about Optimus Prime,” he said in an interview, “get below the surface – under the metal, if you can say – and find out who he is and experience him on Earth.”

Filming for “Transformers: The Awakening of the Beasts” took place in various locations in Peru such as Machu Picchu in Cusco and Tarapoto in San Martin, with shooting that began in September and ended in mid-November. In that period the imperial city was the site of many persecutions, explosions and more action scenes.

These were translated into some scenes for the trailers, which not only show the Tarapoto jungle during the first meeting between Prime and Primal, but also scenes from a procession in the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, a meeting at an archaeological site and also a chase on the roads of Peru.
