ZeniMax Online Studios developer and publisher Bethesda Softworks has moved to Twitch to reveal The Elder Scrolls Online’s year-long adventure, the DLC series that makes up Gates of Oblivion. These expansions bring new content for players to experience on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.

Four pieces of DLC will be sprayed throughout the year. The first, the fires of ambition, falls March 8 For PC, Stadia, and March 16 For PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Meanwhile, Blackwood’s chapter will release the DLC title in just two months: June 1 For PC, Stadia, and June 8 For PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The other two expansions, an unannounced dungeon package and an undisclosed story area, are launched in Q3 And the Q 4Respectively. The release dates have not been stamped exactly.

The Flames of Ambition sets off the Gates of Oblivion adventure. The expansion introduces two new PvE dungeons – Black Drake Villa and The Cauldron – players attack a shrine belonging to Deadric Prince Mehrunes Dagon to find a folder before it is destroyed. Players will be joined by some familiar faces, including newcomer Eveli Sharp-Arrow and recurring character Dremora Lyranth, and can unlock new gear and collectibles.

The Blackwood chapter is the focus of the Gates of Oblivion adventure, and it comes with a number of add-ons, such as a new region, quests, gameplay mechanics, and quality-of-life improvements. Over the course of more than 30 hours, the expansion introduces an entirely new chapter in the story for players to try for themselves or with an NPC Ally through the new Companions system.

With Companions, players can recruit, travel and fight alongside an NPC who will have their own characters. These allies can join players on most adventures, leveling up, and using dedicated equipment and abilities to assist as they navigate Tamriel.

For the story, the Blackwood chapter takes players to several familiar locations, including the imperial city of Leyawiin that was first seen in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The main story tasks the players to unravel the conspiracy theory that Prince Daidrick has hatched. There’s also loads of new equipment to collect, side quests to start with, and world events to take part in.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood is now available for pre-order and comes with unlock, such as outfit, pet, experience scrolls, treasure maps, and an Iron Atronach chest stuffed with other in-game items. The Blackwood chapter is found in a few versions that only feature the expansion itself or expansion, the base game, and previously released chapters. Conversely, players who already own all of The Elder Scrolls Online content can pick up the Blackwood Upgrade to participate in Gates of Oblivion.
